Our Assistant Accompanist

Jeannine Bonine began working with the Metro East Community Chorale in January of 2005.

Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Jeannine studied for many years with Ina Allen, a well-known piano teacher in Tennessee and Alabama. In addition to her enthusiasm for the piano, Jeannine also played the bass violin. While in high school she studied with the distinguished John Casale Ensemble and was chosen to play the bass in the All-Southern Orchestra in Tampa, Florida. After high school Jeannine continued her studies with John Woods, Head of the Piano Department at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort WOrth, Texas. Jeannine also auditioned and was selected to accompany voice professors and students at the seminary.

A resident of Florissant, Missouri, for over 40 years, Jeannine taught piano for 25 years. She also served as accompanist for Florissant Valley Baptist Church and Parker Road Baptist Church for a combined 40 years of service. In 1995 she was honored by the St. Louis Metro Baptist Asssociation after 30 years of service as a church pianist.

Jeannine has worked in the Accounting Department of Chesterfield, Missouri-Based CT Innovations since 1982. She and her husband Bill recently relocated to Belleville to be closer to their daughter Lee, son-in-law Rick, and grandchildren Jennifer, Will and Matthew.
